Melissia Rene, mother of nineteen-year-old Iyanna “YaYa” Mayweather that she shares with her ex, pro boxer Floyd Mayweather, is speaking out for the first time since her daughter's arrest. YaYa was arrested on April 4 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon according to The Blast after she allegedly stabbed LaPattra Jacobs at her boyfriend's home in Texas.

Jacobs is the mother of Youngboy's child and The Blast notes that the two women got into an argument at Youngboy's home. The war of words then turned violent when Mayweather allegedly picked up a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Jacobs in the arms. Mayweather was arrested and Jacobs was rushed to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery on both her arms.

Legal documents from the Harris County District Attorney state that Mayweather "unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly caused bodily injury to Lapattra Jacobs...by cutting (her) with a knife, and (she) used and exhibited a deadly weapon, namely a knife."

Rene seemed to speak out for the first time since her daughter's arrest, posting a video of the two walking hand in hand through what appears to be a crowded lobby and letting everyone know that she will be supporting her daughter no matter what. "Got your back FOREVER," Rene captioned the photo.

Fans took to the comment section to show their appreciation for Rene's support of her daughter.

"Yes momma bear they better leave your cub alone."

"Nothing like a mother’s love."

"As a great mother should."

If convicted Mayweather could be facing a hefty prison sentence. The Blast notes that Mayweather could be sentenced to anywhere from 5 to 99 years in jail, and slapped with a $10,000 fine. The teen has hired lawyer Kent Schaffer who told Bossip that she will plead not guilty.

“Iyanna is doing fine, although she remains shaken by this unfortunate incident,” Schaffer told the website before noting that he expects his client to be “fully vindicated.”

Jacobs seems to address the entire incident on her Instagram stories, which was captured by The Shade Room. "No I'm not ok Im really f*@ked up in the head. I hate to say it. Can y'all just leave me alone. I never wanted this attention or watever y'all call it. Ps y'all want be seeing me. I'm kinda glad I don't have a phone."

According to reports Mayweather, who is due back in court in August, is to stay away from Jacobs as a condition of her $30,000 bail.
