Microsoft has officially announced it's coming out with the smallest Xbox ever, Series S. If you have a kid gamer or even a hubby who loves his spending time playing games in his man cave, then this console might intrigue the family.

After many rumors of the console coming soon, Microsoft has decided to confirm these rumors. Not only that, they've revealed the price to be set at $299 in the US. Mark your calendars, because on November 10 this gaming gem is available for sale, according to the company's US, France and UK Twitter accounts.

Microsoft has plans to release a bigger console, Xbox Series X, but it hasn't let the public know anything as of yet. As stated by The Vergethe picture given by Microsoft suggests that the gaming console is to be set horizontally. Although it is placed vertically, the Xbox logo is sideways.

It was also reported that the larger Xbox Series X is set to come out on the same day as the Series S. The Series X is priced at $499, which is the usual price for these gaming devices. The Verge said that the new Xbox Series S will "play next-gen games in a smaller, cheaper package with less GPU power and lower resolution output than the Series X."

Considering that PlayStation 5 is Xbox's long-time rival, this version of Xbox might sway consumers to purchase the Series S. Now that many have lost their wages or are slowly returning to work, this piece of gaming stands a better chance being that its price is more appealing to family's wallet now.

According to BBC, "Microsoft's announcement comes days before the launch of a service that will let subscribers play top-end Xbox games on Android smartphones." Unfortunately, Apple hasn't allowed this on their iOS iPhone. So, only Android users will enjoy playing the Xbox games on their phone and be able to save it and continue the game on the gaming console connected to the TV. Apple has said that because they aren't able to review all the games on Xbox's Game Pass, then that doesn't follow their app store policies.
