According to Today, Will Smith’s son, Trey Smith, just celebrated his 28th birthday and the pair did something big to honor the occasion. Will Smith posted a throwback picture on his Instagram account of him and Trey when he was younger. He then added another picture, and it is the two of them recreating the picture now. This is a trend that has been going on through all social media platforms and it looks like Will took advantage of it to celebrate his son’s birthday.
Will captioned the picture with a silly riddle that had the answer “one of my favorite people on earth.”

According to Good Morning America, Trey Smith is the child of Will Smith and Sheree Zampino who were married in 1992. They welcomed their son that year, but the marriage would end in 1995. Trey did make an appearance in one of Will’s music videos for Just The Two Of Us and the pair are super adorable.
The relationship has not always been great between the father and son duo, and Will Smith spoke about how his son struggled with the divorce of his parents and that he felt “betrayed and abandoned.” The pair have since recovered from this tough time in their lives, and it does pay testament to the strength of a father and son bond that can not easily be broken.
Will Smith has also said numerous times that he is going to spend the rest of his life making sure that Trey feels loved and to make up for the time that has been missed. This picture may just be one step on that road to the perfect bond they are looking for.
