Ina Garten's website Barefoot Contessa crashed shortly after she shared a sneak peek of an English Roasted Potato recipe on her Instagram. The recipe sent her 2.6 million followers wild, and they rushed to her website to check out the full recipe hence crushing it because of the huge traffic. Garten has been sharing various recipes on her Instagram, and her followers have been keeping themselves busy during this quarantine with her recipes. Fans were disappointed after the website went down, and they alerted Garten. She said she was aware of the problem and promised to fix it.

It was amazing how the potato recipe received a huge following with many people wanting to experiment with it. The recipe was from "Mary Poppins" star Emily Blunt. Garten said that the recipe is from her upcoming cookbook "Modern Comfort Food." She announced on her Instagram that the cookbook that was supposed to be released on October 27 would be released on October 6, because we need it as soon as possible. In Blunt's Roasted Potato recipe, you will need five ingredients: Yukon Gold potatoes, vegetable oil, coarse sea salt, kosher salt, and parsley.

According to FoxNews, Blunt shared the recipe in 2018 during one of Garten's Barefoot Contessa episodes. She said that the English Roasted Potato was a staple in her home and her mom was the one who taught her how to make it. The procedure for making it involves boiling potatoes shortly then draining them. After draining the boiled potatoes, shake them in a pot for a few minutes to roughen them up a bit. After shaking the potatoes, you place them in a wire rack and leave it for 15 minutes to dry.

After the potatoes are dry, you put them in a pan with a little oil and then you bake them for about 45 minutes, and it will come out golden and crispy, Blunt explained. She said that the potatoes will be smoking as you get them out, and sometimes they might hurt the eyes a bit. Garten told her that when you bake potatoes, a man would show up! According to Insider, Garten has been teasing her Instagram followers about her upcoming cookbook, and she has been sharing various mouth-watering food pictures, cooking tips, recipes, and cocktails.
