Playing with your child is the perfect way to spend time with them since both of you will enjoy every moment of it as you get to learn more about each other, according to Parents. The bad news is that you might not always have the opportunity to play with him or her all the time since you have to work and attend to other matters. However, this is where siblings come into the picture.

Siblings who do not have a huge age gap between them spend almost the whole day every day together. In addition to the normal fights that they will get themselves into according to the Raising Children Network and their combined efforts to drive you crazy, they will spend a lot of time playing.

According to Family Education, kids enjoy playing with water, and if the weather is right, they can spend hours having fun outside and keeping themselves busy. You can contribute to their fun by introducing them to a few fun games and buying a few toys to make the activities even more exciting.

Here are a few water games you can encourage siblings to play together outside:

10 Backyard Bath

Siblings will enjoy playing this fun and easy game, especially because it has no rules to follow and there is water involved. Fill a kiddie pool or a big bucket halfway with water and put some toys inside. This is the ideal game for the kids if you do not have a swimming pool in your compound. This game will also make bathing easier if they play just before bath time.

9 Fill A Bucket

This game is suitable for both older and younger children. Begin by filling a bucket with water and positioning it at the finish line. Then give each child a bucket and a container. In this game, the players take turns filling their containers with water and then emptying the water into their empty buckets. The player who empties the bucket the fastest at the finish line wins.

8 Water Pinata

This interesting game will guarantee your kids the wet experience they might be looking for on a hot day. Get balloons of different sizes and fill them with water and then hang them on a tree or a clothesline.

Blindfold one child at a time and give them a bat. The objective of the game is to swing the bat in order to break the balloons. Unlike in pinatas where the prize is candy, the child will get a good bath. The children should take turns playing this game.

7 Water Relay

For this game, you will need four buckets and two extra-long sponges. Fill two buckets with water then place them a few meters from the starting line. Give each child a bucket and a sponge.

The children will then race, dip the sponge into the full bucket, then race back and empty the water into their empty bucket. If they are many kids, they can be grouped into teams but if it is just two or three, they can take turns. The team or child who fills the bucket on the finishing line first wins.

6 Water Limbo

Take a hose, connect it to the tap and turn the water on all the way. Use the stream of water as the limbo stick. The one who can limbo the lowest without getting wet wins. This game can be enjoyed by both toddlers and older kids.

5 Hit The Mark

Mark the ground with target circles and point amounts. Before beginning the game soak some sponges in water. Start the game by attempting to hit the targets with the huge, saturated sponges. In this water game, the wet areas represent your score.

4 Water Bottle Flip

Take a bottle and partially fill it with water. The kids should then toss the bottle in the air and try to land it on its right side up. This is a great game for when you want to play with water but you do not want to get wet.

3 Water Hose Helicopter

For this fun game, connect a garden hose to the tap and turn the water on. Take the hose, arrange the kids in a circle, stand in the middle, and then swing it around in a low circle. The children must jump when the water jet approaches them. They will become wet if they are not quick to bend, jump, or find a creative way to get out of the way.

2 Sponge Toss

For this game, you will need some inexpensive sponges. Cut the sponges and secure them with elastic bands. They should take the shape of a ball. Soak them in water and toss them around with the kids.

1 Jump!

This is jumping rope but with a twist. Give each child a cup full of water. The children then take turns jumping up and down ten times while holding water in their cups with water. At the end of the game, the child with the most water in their cup wins.
