It looks like talent definitely runs in the Diesel family! Vin Diesel, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise is passing the torch to his daughter, Similce. The 11-year-old is starring in Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, Netflix's upcoming spin-off of the hit movie series and her father escorted her on the red carpet for the series' premiere at the Universal Cinema AMC in California.

The new animated series will debut on the streaming service on December 26 and stars former Teen Wolf heartthrob Tyler Posey as the voice of Tony Toretto, Dom's teenage cousin. In a storyline similar to the Fast & Furious movies, Tony and his friends, are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization. Diesel's daughter Similce voices the character of Sissy Benson in her acting debut, the younger sister of the character Frostee, a 13-year-old tech genius.

The proud papa walked the red carpet with Similce, the eldest of his three children with his longtime love Paloma Jiménez. The couple also shares son Vincent, 9, and daughter Pauline, 4, who was named after Diesel's late co-star Paul Walker.

Diesel, who is also executive producing the series, introduced his daughter to the crowd at the premiere, recalling a sweet story from when she was born. “[Similce] was born while we were shooting ‘Fast 4,’” Diesel recalled. “It was a long day, where Pablo (Diesel's nickname for friend and co-star Paul Walker) and I were fighting each other in this scene. He came to my trailer at the end of the day and said, ‘Something is on your mind.’ I had a secret. I wasn’t telling anyone in the world that my daughter was about to be born. I’ll never forget what he said to me. He said, ‘Vin, you go into that hospital room, and you cut the umbilical cord. It will be the best day of your life.’ That’s the day that she was born. I say that because that’s how real the themes of familyhood run in the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga, and why I am so proud.”

In addition to posing with his daughter on the red carpet, the proud father even took a few snaps of his own.

In addition to this new animated Fash & Furious spin-off, Diesel is also busy working on the 9th installment of the movie franchise. Fast & Furious 9, starring Diesel and adding Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren is set to hit theatres in May 2o20.
