Five months after the devastating helicopter crash in Calabasas, California that took the lives of everyone on board, including NBA legend Kobe Bryant and 13-year-old daughter Gianna, his wife Vanessa is still thinking about the loss of her loved ones.

Over the weekend, Vanessa Bryant posted a photo on Instagram of Kobe’s picture book Epoca The Tree of Ecrof: Island of the Gods. Vanessa captioned the post, “Always learning from the best ❤️My Boo-Boo, My Dreamer.”

Vanessa also shared the book’s dedication, which says, “For Vanessa. Thank you for always being the Realist to my Dreamer.”

Bryant’s young adult book, written with Ivy Claire, shares the story of two kids Rovi and Pretia who discover their own inner strength while battling evil monsters in an alternate classical world that’s dominated by sports and a magical power called grana. The story takes place at a prestigious, elite sports academy where all the best child-athletes are sent to train. When Rovi and Pretia arrive, they soon suspect that something evil is afoot at the school. During the course of their first year, they must master their inner grana to save the school and the world from the rising dark forces. Epoca was released in November last year, two months before the athlete’s death.

Her fans and followers commented on the post with words of how much this book means to them too. One person wrote, "I have this book truly inspirational," and another said, "Such a great book. Glad I added it to my collection!"
