This Valentine’s Day Slime Is So Easy To Make

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and you are probably on the hunt for the perfect gift for all your Valentines! Sure, we usually think of it as a romantic holiday, but who says we can't get our kiddos a little something to show them how much we love them, too? For kids, Valentine's Day is a way to show their friends how much they mean to them (with school Valentines, for example), and of course it's a way to get some treats. If you're trying to decide how to celebrate Valentine's Day with your kiddos, you might want to go the craft route! You could easily put together a cute little slime kit for V-Day, so your kids can make their very own Valentine's Day slime. It doesn't look like the slime craze is going to let up anytime soon, so you might as well embrace it, right?

There are tons of ways to make Valentine's Day slime. This recipe from The Nerd's Wife calls for pink or red glitter glue, water, liquid starch, and heart confetti. Just add the water and confetti to the glue in a bowl, mix well, and then add the liquid starch. Once the slime pulls away from the pull, it's time to pick it up and use your hands to knead it. The result is a sparkly slime full of love!

Or you can follow this recipe from Living Well Mom. It calls for regular clear glue, liquid starch, water, pink food coloring, and white glitter. To make the slime, follow the same steps, but instead of just adding the glitter to the glue before the starch, you'll add a couple of drops of food coloring. The result is a red, glittery slime that's perfect for V-Day!

We love the idea of putting together a little gift basket with the slime ingredients (and some candy, of course!). That's a Valentine's Day gift that any slime-loving kid would be thrilled to receive. Plus, it turns a regular gift into a learning activity, which is always a good thing!
