Despite the fact that it's 2018, it seems that women are still being made to feel like their priorities aren't in order if they choose to focus on getting an education instead of finding their dream husband, settling down and starting their family. We all know that any person who decides to pursue a post secondary education knows that there are sacrifices to be made, especially when you move on to pursue a Masters Degree.

Let's face it, it takes so much dedication, hard work, money and time to earn your Masters, that you should so proud to hold that degree in your hand. Unfortunately for one recent North Carolina University graduate, that wasn't the case.

Kynnith Francis-Vaughan recently graduated from North Carolina University with a hard earned Masters of Education Degree, yet despite putting in the work to earn this degree some people felt Francis-Vaughan's focus was too much on school work and not enough on personal relationships.

Francis-Vaughn's mother had her daughter's back though, and created the ideal gift to shut down all the haters who told her daughter that her Masters Degree was nice and all, but it "wouldn't keep her warm at night."

Kynnith Francis-Vaughan posted a picture on Twitter of her new awesome throw blanket featuring her Masters degree created by her mom, who is literally amazing.  Her response was 'now it will, you lil bitch,' and the internet can't get enough!

Francis-Vaughn spoke to Scary Mommy and explained why her mother decided to get her the gift of all gifts.

“She heard me mention that I was told I focus too much on school and not relationships. So she got me something that would keep me warm at night!” the Masters of Education recipient stated.

The idea that any woman should focus less on education or anything they're interested in to prioritize having a partner in their life is ridiculous, and the internet couldn't agree more.

“Society will make it seem that your education is a waste. It isn’t. There are naturally more roadblocks presented to women who attempt to receive graduate degrees, but that makes it all the more sweet when you can walk across that stage at the end of the journey! Never let any type of relationship get in the way of that end-goal! Find a partner who understands the journey you are taking. Anyone else is just a waste of time,” Francis-Vaughan added.

All her hard work has definitely paid off as she told Buzzfeed that she already has a graduate job at the University of West Georgia.

Francis-Vaughan loves her blanket and definitely plans to keep it as a keepsake.

"I think in 20 years from now I’m probably going to end up giving it to one of my kids," she told Buzzfeed. "Just so that they understand that school is hard — but if I can do it, you can do it. And when you do do it, I’m going to celebrate you in the same way that my mother celebrated me."

For anyone who ever has the nerve to tell you that your education won't keep you warm at night, now you can definitely prove them wrong. Something tells me the 'degree blanket' is going to become a very popular gift for graduates!
