Every mom is different and parents in their own way, but there are definitely some things that every mom has in common. Trey Kennedy is a comedian who recently released a video on his popular social media platforms that is a pitch-perfect spoof of all moms and people can't help but laugh, and relate, especially moms!
In the video that has since gone viral, Kennedy hilariously portrays the perfect stereotype of every mom as they obsess over things like their child's grades, the fact that their husbands can't seem to ever find anything, even when it's right in front of their faces, how so much water can end up outside the bathtub, and the magic of the internet. "I see you have a couple of 89's, how we getting that up?" Kennedy says, channeling the grade-obsessed mom before he confidently declares that he's "emailing your teacher right now, we're going to figure it out."
Kennedy's video, which was posted just three weeks ago, already has over 4 million views on Facebook thanks to almost every mom on social media sharing the funny spoof. Who can't relate to Kennedy in full mom-mode asking the kids to teach him the latest dance he saw Hoda do on the TODAY show, or wondering out loud why kids have to use SO MANY CUPS?! Seriously, what is the deal with the cups?
Kennedy even takes a shot at the fathers, when his perfect mom character instantly locates something in the fridge that dad simply wasn't able to find, or when she needs a moment on the couch because dad's snoring kept her up all night. "It sounds like a chihuahua got caught in a garbage disposal."
Nothing is quite so relatable though as Kennedy's portrayal as the mom who sweetly attempts to wake her child up in the morning for school with the promise of a hot breakfast before turning in to a literal screaming mad woman when the child refuses to get out of bed. It's not pretty, but it's a reality that most moms can relate to.
You may recognize Kennedy from his spot-on impression of middle schoolers in another of his videos that went viral with over 32 million Facebook views just a few months ago.
While moms everywhere were laughing at his portrayal of Fortnite obsessed, mopey, hormonal middle schoolers, the kids are having their own laughs now at his equally funny spoof of the moms of those same middle schoolers. Moms are in on the joke though, commenting on Kennedy's Facebook page about how much they love it.
"I mean, if you haven’t said at least 75% of these things, are you even a mom?" wrote one commenter. "I thought I was the only one who has the problem with a million cups next to my sink!" wrote another.
