There aren't many celebrity moms who have been scrutinized as harshly as actress Tori Spelling. She was born into Hollywood royalty and has lived her whole life in the public eye. Married since 2006 to Dean McDermott, she is the mother of five children and is all too often criticized for her parenting choices.

She is the mom to Liam, 12, Stella,11,  Hattie,8,  Finn,7,  and Beau Dean, 2. In the past year alone, Spelling has been shamed for letting her daughter dye her hair pink and giving her kids muffins as snacks. Very helpful social media users condemned Tori for allowing her 8-year-old to color her hair a color she chose.

In regards to the muffins, Tori was doing the classic celeb thing of promoting a product for money on social media. The product was Little Bites muffins and "fans" shamed her for promoting sugary snacks as if they have never given their children something sweet for a snack. These are just two examples of the harsh criticism Spelling has to deal with on a regular basis. There are more examples.

However, there is the worst of the worst. The internet is a cruel place and no one is immune. Not even celebrity children. Spelling learned that first hand when four of her children were shamed for either the clothing they were wearing, their weight, or both.

Spelling had shared a photo of her kids on their first day of school on her personal Instagram and people came out in full force against their appearance.

Apparently, people thought her kids were too heavy and dressed too plainly. Overlooking the cruelty of shaming their bodies, they're children. They're wearing clothes that children wear. The Spelling siblings get a lot of unnecessary hate.

They didn't choose their parents, and they certainly didn't choose to lead a public life.  It's terrible for them since other celebrities also share updates on their kids, as well as pictures, and don't get the same kind of backlash. At least not since a personal and cruel backlash about appearances.

Some of the issues may stem from the personal hate that Tori and Dean simply get for being together. Their relationship has a controversial start. Both Tori and Dean two were married to other people when they met on a film set. They reportedly cheated on their spouses with each other the first night they met in July 2005.

That is a complicated situation but they're still together and have made a life that has grown with five children. Their kids shouldn't suffer for their parent's previous actions. It's possible that some may still hold those actions against the couple but it isn't an excuse.

The entire family has made appearances on one of many reality shows including So Notorious (2006) Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood (2007-12) and True Tori (2014). Spelling and McDermott are both very active on social media and they have documented their relationship consistently from the beginning.

Again, no matter how you may feel about the couple, we can't deny that they're a loving family with normal children. Their children dress like kids and not in designer clothes. They feed their kids snacks they'll like and allow them to do fun things like dye their hair.

McDermott has taken a stand on social media and has defended his children many times. As he should. He gets angry at the low shots taken at his kids and wife. Because of course as the dad, he isn't blamed for these apparent indiscretions.

Tori Spelling is the daughter of legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling. Aaron Spelling is the man behind classic TV shows like Charlie's Angels (1976-81), The Love Boat (1977-86), Beverly Hills 90210 (1990-2000), 7th Heaven (1996-2007) and Charmed (1998-2006).

Spelling began acting lessons at the age of six and was subsequently given roles on shows her dad produced. At age 17, she was given a role on Beverly Hills 90210. She played the role of Donna Martin for the ten-year duration of the extremely popular series. Spelling has since spearheaded a couple Beverly Hills reboots.

The McDermott children are being raised with famous parents and are personally dealing with the results of millions of people mom-shaming their mother. They don't deserve it and neither does Tori.
