Sometimes you don't really know you need something until it's right in front of your eyes, and that's exactly what is going to happen when you see DuClaw Brewing Company's latest offering. The brewing company, in partnership with Diablo Doughnuts, announced that it's bringing back their Unicorn Farts beer that is made from Fruity Pebbles and edible glitter!

The company announced the return of the popular Sour Me Unicorn Farts Beer on Instagram writing, "100% that glitter beer. Coming: June 2020." The post features shots of the beer's creators, brewer Brandon Stanko and Diablo Doughnuts shop owner Michael Roslan laying in a bathtub filled with Fruity Pebbles.

The photo shoot was inspired by none other than Lizzo's famed shot featuring her in a bathtub filled with Skittles.

“We wanted to get the word out there in a creative way before distributor preorders in December,” DuClaw Marketing Director Madeline Caldwell told CBS Baltimore. “Recreating Lizzo’s genius Skittles bathtub post on Instagram was an idea we couldn’t pass up. A lot of people had to say yes to make this happen with a small budget, and we pulled it off. It was a lot of fun.”

The photoshoot used 32 boxes of Fruity Pebbles, 36 Unicorn Farts doughnuts and a whole lot of glitter to announce the beer that will be available in June 2020. According to the DuClaw website, the beer is a "glittered sour ale with fruity cereal mashed in, brings slightly tart sour, a bouquet of fruits & a hint of biscuit."

The beer was first launched back in early April with DuClaw founder and president Dave Benfield explaining in a statement to Delish why the unconventional brew was created. “We were inspired by the way [Diablo founder] Ros continuously pushes the envelope with flavors and recipes,”  Benfield said. “The process and pace with which they operate with is strangely similar to our approach to innovation–constant creativity, ideation, and testing.”

The limited-edition ale will be a "medium-bodied, tart and sweet, 5.5% ABV, [that] features fruit additions [which] give nod to fruity cereal, plus the addition of edible glitter." Because everyone needs more glitter in their life!

You can use DuClaw's Beer Finder to see where Sour Me Unicorn Farts beer is available, but if a beer made from Fruity Pebbles and edible glitter isn't your thing, don't worry because they still make a regular beer.
