There are certain things in pop culture that seem to defy the laws of time. They go through multiple generations and are continually loved. Parents love these gems because it means that they have something from their childhood that they can share with their children. Star Wars is one of those things, and while the original movies came out in the '70s and '80s, it continues to be popular as there has been the introduction of two more trilogies and loads of spin offs. Disney now owns the rights to the movies, and they are ready to bring everyone a unique experience that will have lasting memories.

According to MyNews, Disney has announced that there is a new, interactive Star Wars hotel coming that will make you truly feel like you are on a different planet. It is coming to Walt Disney World in 2021 and it is called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The big difference is that this is not set to be a normal hotel stay, and they are hoping it is more like a cruise adventure, with enough things to do there that you would not need to leave. It is being described as a “two-night vacation experience,” and mom and dad may have a harder time leaving than the children. The hotel is going to feel like you are aboard the Halcyon starcruiser as well as on the planet Batuu.

According to the official website, as soon as guests enter, they will be in a terminal, then they will go to the launch pad before heading off on their adventure. It will feature an Atrium where other guests can mingle together, and access to the navigation room where guests can feel like they are driving the ship to far away places. There is even interactive games for all to enjoy, like trying out your skills with a lightsaber.

When it is time to unwind in your room, it is going to feel like you are really in a cabin on the ship. The views out the window will keep the illusion that you are in space as you will see galaxy views. One depiction shows a large bed, with two smaller bunk beds on the side so there is enough room for the whole family.

There is no word yet on pricing for the whole experience, but construction has started directly across from Galaxy’s Edge, which was opened on August 29th for guests to enjoy.
