When it comes to the shows on Bravo, we've come to expect a certain level of drama, right? The Housewives franchises just wouldn't be the same if everyone got along and there were no cat fights or all-out brawls on the reunion shows! And while a lot of the drama is manufactured and ramped up for TV, some of it is very real. When that real drama spills over into real life, it can have consequences for everyone involved. One of Bravo's popular shows, Southern Charm, has certainly had its share of high-drama moments. But it's what's happening off-screen with two of its former stars that's currently dominating news waves. Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis appeared on the show during their marriage. But things quickly soured, and the two split in 2016, and have been embroiled in a bitter custody dispute over their two children since. The latest development is particularly dramatic, with Ravenel alleging that Dennis failed a drug test, and filing for sole custody of the kids.

Ravenel and Dennis share two children together - daughter Kensie, 5, and son Saint, 3. Ravenel recently requested that Dennis be stripped of her custody of the kids and grant him full custody, after Dennis allegedly tested positive for marijuana, benzodiazepines and amphetamines on a court-ordered drug test (both parties were required to submit for drug testing as part of their custody agreement). In court documents, Ravenel says that Dennis has prescriptions for benzodiazepines and amphetamines. Dennis previously lost custody of the kids back in 2016, but she entered rehab and has since earned back 50/50 custody with Ravenel.

Dennis, in her defense, is disputing the accuracy of the positive test. She submitted to another urine test following the positive outcome, and that one was negative. She also said in court documents that the hair test was negative the first time, but Ravenel alleges that because she colors her hair and wears extensions and wigs, that result could have been compromised. He's also accused Dennis of purchasing fake urine tests in the past to get around the court ordered drug testing.

Last October, Dennis filed for primary custody of the two kids after Ravenel was arrested and charged with second degree assault and battery. Here's hoping these exes can put their differences aside, get the help they need, and do what's best for their two kids.
