Sia is an incredible singer and performer, but part of the reason she is so celebrated is due to the intrigue and mystery surrounding her. This pair has been together since the days we could not get ‘Chandelier’ out of our head. They performed it on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and we were enthralled.
It was always clear that the two had a great relationship, but we had no idea (until now) how protective Sia is of Maddie. Maddie Ziegler is also familiar to many because she was one of the top dancers on the hit reality show, Dance Moms.’It turns out that she has another mom in Sia, someone she can look to when she needs help.
According to BuzzFeed, Sia stopped Maddie from flying with Harvey Weinstein and it was all done to protect her. This was revealed on a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show and she really opened up about her relationship with Maddie and her need to protect her from Harvey Weinstein. Harvey is currently on trial for the sexual assault of multiple women in Hollywood.
She said that as soon as she met Maddie, she felt an insane need to protect her, and she credits it to her own healing. She thought one of the best ways to protect her was to just keep creating projects that Maddie could work on. That way, they would be together most of the time. This bond is so strong that Sia is Maddie’s official godmother.
Harvey Weinstein had reached out to Maddie. He had invited her to get on a plane with him, and Sia immediately reached out to Maddie’s mother. She said that she begged for Maddie to not go on that plane. Sia says that she knows that there have been times when she has made a different and it has kept Maddie safe. It is warming to see the bond these two have and we can only expect it to grow stronger.
