Back-to-school time is just around the corner, if it hasn't already arrived. That means those lazy summer days are quickly coming to an end. Leisurely morning wake ups are soon to be replaced by alarm clocks waking you and your kids up bright and early and there will be no time for dilly dallying.

For many parents, back-to-school is stressful because it's hard to get back in to the morning routine. It's hard on the kids and it's hard on the parents as well, because there is so much that has to be done before sending the kids off to school.

One mom recently posted a pretty genius hack that is helping parents and kids take some of the stress out of school mornings, and people are definitely loving it. Shantelle Tomlin is a busy mom and owner of the Tomlin Academy Early Childhood Center who recently posted a quick and easy trick to help mornings run smoothly.

We all know that for some kids, picking out what they're going to wear to school can often take a lot of time, often leaving them scrambling to get out the door in time. Tomlin's hack has made getting ready for school easier for herself and her son.

The busy mom posted a picture of her stackable plastic cubbies which she has organized with an outfit for every school day for her son. From underwear to shoes, everything her son needs to wear for the day is in his cubbie making sure that there are no questions about what he's going to wear in the morning.

Tomlin told CafeMom that even though her son wears a uniform, this system has helped make sure they make the most of their limited time in the morning.

"My son wears uniforms and I hate mornings," Tomlin said. "I literally press snooze over and over again. I always put his clothes in those cubbies. It makes him keep his shoes clean."

Tomlin doesn't get the cubbies together by herself either. She and her 10 year old son sit down on Sunday nights to get the cubbies ready for the week.

"It forces him to be responsible every Sunday (that's when we place the items in the bins). My son is accountable for ensuring that he is in uniform every day. I saw something similar and replicated it. Each bin has an undershirt, underwear, pants, shirt, socks, and his shoes. It helps me get through the morning."

This seems like a pretty genius idea, especially if you have a child who has a hard time deciding what to wear. Getting them involved in the process of picking out their outfits gives them control and responsibility, and it would definitely make the morning way less stressful.

Many parents loved the idea, even if they didn't have five different pairs of shoes for their children.

"OMG! I swear that we are getting one of those this weekend at Walmart. That is a great idea. Thank U thank U thank U for sharing it," wrote one excited parent. " Such a cute idea!!," wrote another, "this is what we need to do lol."

Naturally there were some who thought that it took a sense of independance and reponsibility away from the child.

"No no no no, what are you trying to raise? And independent responsible young adult or a lazy live in the basement good for nothing kid?," wrote one person who clearly wasn't a fan. "Shoes that big..the kid oughtta be old enough to get their own clothes ready .just my opinion," wrote another.

Many pointed out that if the child is the one getting the bins ready for the week they're still being responsible.

"Then have the child organize it for his/her self," wrote one person who felt that the system could still foster independence if the child organized the bins themself.

This system may not work for everyone but for those who struggle with getting their kids dressed and out the door in the morning, it's a pretty smart way to help your kids get ready.
