Every family wants a bit of privacy in their lives, and for most it is not that hard. Unless they share too much on social media, there is not much other people will know about their lives. They won’t know what they fed their children for breakfast, or how many times they washed their hair in the last month. We just assume no one really cares about those kind of details, and they don’t. That is, as long as you are not a celebrity mom. Celebrity moms face a lot of challenges because they are constantly in the public eye.
A lot of celebrity moms try and keep their children out of the public eye, and they don’t post their pictures on social media. Kristen Bell is one mom who always has her children’s faces blocked out of her pictures. Sarah Jessica Parker is another mom who tries to keep her children out of the public eye.
Every once in a while though, they give us a glimpse into their lives and we eat it up. It is nice to see these celebrity children all grown up, but because we are not used to seeing them, they seem to age so fast. Sarah Jessica Parker’s son, James Wilkie, has just turned 18 years old. According to PEOPLE, to celebrate the big day, the Sex and the City star shared some private glimpses into her family life.
She added the pictures on her Instagram account and made a sweet caption to her eldest boy. Sarah Jessica Parker said that she is amazed that all those years have gone by and she calls her love for him an “ache and an honor.” Which is something a lot of moms can relate to. She mentions that he is leaping into his future, and this may likely be a hard birthday for mom. When our children enter into our adult years, it can be hard to let go. We know we need too, but we are still their mother and we want to be there to catch them when they fall every time.
She also mentioned that her son is now old enough to vote as she calls him her “first time voter.” Sarah Jessica Parker shares James, and two other children, with her husband Matthew Broderick. She had previously opened up about how proud she was of who her children were growing up to be. She opened up about how she often sits in the next room and listens to her son’s conversations with his friends and she is constantly admiring what kind of young man he is becoming.
