Ryan Reynolds has totally been that celebrity that has come to the rescue of moms everywhere and provided some comedic relief to everything that we are going through right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. We have watched Reynolds document step by step getting tested for COVID-19 and he has issued a warning to teens to stop partying during all of this mess and now he has come to rescue home school moms everywhere with his latest commercial.
According to Parents, Reynolds had a real talk, one-to-one moment on camera as part of a new commercial for the gin brand that he used to co-own, Aviation Gin. The hilarious commercial was first shared on his Instagram account and then to YouTube. On Instagram, Reynold shared the caption, "Aviation Home School edition. Official sponsor of Parent-Gin conferences."
If we can only relate to one thing right now, this is it.
We all know that the words "back to school" had a completely new meaning this year whether you chose virtual learning or in-person learning. It's all different in so many ways. And to be honest: it's just as stressful for parents as it is the kiddos. This is why Aviation Gin has a new offering, perfect for stressed-out parents everywhere.
Yup, the commercial wasn't just to make moms everywhere giggle and swoon a little bit over just how cute Ryan Reynolds is, they are actually launching a new product. Aviation Gin is bringing it's largest offering yet to store shelves: a 1.75L bottle.
In the commercial, Reynolds comically points out, "It can help with a variety of subjects—fourth grade geography, whatever the f*** new math is, and revisiting your own long-forgotten middle school traumas."
We are feeling all of that right about now and pretty happy with the way ending our day with a gin and tonic sounds.
The ad ends with the ringing of a school bell and as the screen goes blank, you can hear Reynolds in the background mutter the words, "Middle school is the f***king worst."
We've never felt so seen before.
