Most "reality" shows have manufactured drama that producers either prompt the cast with or make use of strategic editing to make a confrontation seem bigger than it was in real-life. One show that never seemed to need fake drama was The Jersey Shore, because as the cast continues to live life outside of the beach house there're still making headlines.

Case in point is Sammy "Sweetheart's" ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Margo. He has been on-again-off-again with his longtime girlfriend, Jen Harley for years and the two share a daughter together. This time he's making headlines because he was arrested on October 4 for alleged kidnapping and domestic abuse.

Around 3:00 am on October 4, 911 dispatchers received several calls from Ronnie and Jen's neighbors. Apparently, Jen was running down the street screaming for help because "someone hurt her baby" and another neighbor said they saw a "shirtless man attack her".

Once police arrived, Jen told them that Ronnie was inside the house with their 18-month-old daughter and had a knife with him. At that point, officers tried to enter the home and Ronnie wouldn't let them in, so they had to break down a door to enter because they were concerned with the child's wellbeing. When they got into the house, Ronnie was argumentative to the point where they had to subdue him with a taser.

Ronnie was eventually cuffed and taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated after the tasing, and his daughter was completely unharmed (thank goodness!). Jen did have some "cuts and abrasions" as a result of the argument. Ronnie was eventually released from the hospital and was sent directly to jail with a $100,000 bond.

Late Friday morning, Ronnie was released from jail and People reported that he's "embarassed" by the entire situation and that his main priority at this point is the "safety of his daughter".

Fans of The Jersey Shore know Ronnie's temper all too well. It's clear that through the years he still hasn't been able to get his anger under control and now he's putting his daughter at risk (during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, no less!). Hopefully, the reality star will take this situation as his rock bottom and find the help he needs to providing a loving and supportive home to his family.

Ronnie’s lawyer released a statement on his behalf on Saturday, October 5.

“The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro this morning is based upon pure speculation and innuendo,” lawyer Scott E. Leemon said in a statement according to In Touch. “We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”
