Rainbow Teeth Is The Latest Bizarre Trend Sweeping Across Instagram

We've seen a wide variety of some pretty outlandish and not at all conventional beauty trends emerge in popularity over the last few years. Everything from furry nails to rainbow brows, to glitter roots to nose hair extensions have all made headlines recently as bizarre beauty trends that are definitely for those who are willing to take some pretty big risks in the name of fashion and beauty.

The latest bizarre beauty trend that is becoming hugely popular, especially on Instagram, is rainbow teeth. After all, you can apply makeup to every other part of your face, so why should your teeth be ignored?! While most people have worked hard to have the pearliest whites they can, brushing, flossing, bleaching and polishing their teeth until they sparkle, a new company is encouraging people to have some fun with their choppers.

CHRŌM is a company that now makes tooth polish in a variety of colors including Pretty in Pink, Candy Floss, Fairy Dust, Mint, Gold Dust, Silver and more, with 10 shades in total. David Silverstein, the brand creator of the colorful temporary tooth polish told the NY Post that the tooth polish can be used for all occasions. “We see this becoming commonplace — everything from a club vibe to an everyday workplace fashion accent,” he said.

The bottles of polish range in price from $18 - $22 depending on the shade you choose, and is applied just like nail polish, except on your teeth. Their website states that the tooth polish will last up to 24 hours and it has no taste so you don't have to worry about it making your coffee or cocktails taste awful if you use it.

It's also meant to withstand eating and drinking, so you don't have to fast while using it either.

While many people may view colorful tooth polish as something used strictly when in costume mode or for a night out on the town, Siverstein thinks it can truly be worn at any time as an extension of your beauty routine and personal expression. “Perhaps you go to work with one tooth [that] matches your nail polish or your hair color,” he said.

Silverstein also told the Post that his product is "100% safe" stating his product is compliant with the Food, Drug and Cosmetics act and assures consumers that the polish is temporary and won't stain their teeth. The polish can easily be removed by simply brushing your teeth with toothpaste.

Many people love to experiment with makeup and beauty trends to express themselves and their personalities, so it should really come as no surprise that people are polishing their teeth like they paint their nails.

This may be one of the most bizarre beauty trends we've seen in a long time. Would you ever polish your teeth to match your outfit?
