UPDATE: April 28, 2020 6pm- Post Malone's choice of clothing was attributed to Kurt Cobain's fashion statements. Cobain has posed and performed in feminine clothes several times.
The funds were specifically raised for W.H.O.'s (World Health Organization) COVID-19 solidarity fund.
Post Malone is all over the world right now, and people love him. One of the things they love about him is that he never seems to play by the rules. He is always down to do his own thing, and this provides us with hours of entertainment. During this pandemic, we all crave a distraction, and celebrities are always there to provide this for us. The distraction in this case was Mr. Malone's fashion faux pas.
Post Malone recently held a virtual, online concert for all of his fans. The goal was to raise money for relief funds to help those who are suffering in the middle of this pandemic. The concert he held was a mixture of classic Nirvana songs, as well as, some of his own and some of us applaud the wardrobe choices he made, others not so much. He wore a floral granny dress for his home concert. Let's assume he's showing some love to his sweet, dear ol' grandma.
Earlier in the week, Post Malone teased his concert with a simple post on his Instagram page with one word, “Friday 😊” and he did what no other celebrity has ever done. He even gave out his number to fans, so that they could send him some texts during the show. His show kicked off at 3 p.m. and it was being held in his home bar, because we couldn't expect less. Everyone who watched was treated to the singer wearing the granny dress, drinking a beer and singing along to the classic punk-rock band. He performed songs like “All Apologies” and “Come As You Are.” That last song choice being the perfect piece of irony during the show.
If you missed the show, don’t worry, you can still catch it on YouTube where it is sure to stay for a while. You can grab your own beverage and put on your grandma's floral dress, if she lets, and just relax and unwind. The outfit choice alone is worth watching, and he wasn’t the only one. Some of his band members even joined in on the fun and wore brightly colored flower dresses with him. We're scratching our heads as to what the motive was behind the wardrobe choices, but nonetheless, it's the distraction we all needed. Cheers!
