This Everyday Accessory Helps Keep Kids Safe In Car Seats During The Winter

3 Sisters Non-Profit

If there is one thing that parents often worry about during the winter season, it’s how to keep their children safe but also nice and warm in their car seats. Thankfully, there’s a new twist on a common accessory that will help keep babies and toddlers safe in the backseat of the car while giving parents a little piece of mind.

Three sisters from Denver, Colorado, have come up with a way to keep your child warm. With their innovative child poncho idea, they help save you the time you would have to spend in the car, waiting for it to warm up before getting your baby or toddler strapped in their car seat. And yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a poncho that goes over the child and the car seat. It sounds easy enough, doesn't it?

Mothers and grandmothers Barb Goldsby, Joanne Isenhart and Karol Hodson have set up the Three Sisters Non-Profit to help make parents’ lives a little bit easier while also keeping their children’s safety in mind. You can put it on your baby in place of a puffy coat before even strapping them in the car seat. The poncho then fits around the car seat and even comes with a hood to cover the baby's ears.

The ponchos can be reversible or single-lined, colorful or in neutral colors. It also comes  with a hood to keep the baby’s head warm as well. They can be worn outside too, or serve just as an in-car option to warm up before you hit the road in your car. But what’s important is that they allow you to properly and safely secure your child in the car seat, while also keeping your most precious commodities (in other words your children) warm.

And here’s the best part: all the money donated to the non-profit organization goes to buying more material to make the ponchos and other products. It doesn’t get any better than that, right?
