There are some snacks that define our childhood -- those junk food treats that literally take you back to summer vacations, watching a favorite TV show in your parents' living room, or chomping at your grandparents' house (where snacks were in abundance just for you). For many, Planters' Cheez Balls fill that nostalgic category.

The crunchy, cheese flavored spheres were oh-so-poppable in your mouth, and for some reason felt way more fun to eat than the average cheese doodle. Planters pulled the sentimental snack from shelves a decade ago, along with their Cheez Curls. You may have noticed, you may have not (so many of us have adopted a healthier lifestyle since our snackin' days), but the point is Planters is bringing their Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls back for a limited time.

According to Elite Daily, product will hit shelves and ship from online stores like Amazon and Walmart.com beginning July 1, making it the perfect chip to serve at your July 4th barbecue (that is if you go with two-days shipping or snag 'em at a brick and mortar shop). Believe me, that crunch will bring back so many memories.

The revival of Planters' Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls comes after fans begged the company to bring the snack back into their lives. We're talking petitions, online groups, and, yes, even letters sent through our very own United States Postal Service. The demand was there and the kind folks at Planters saw no other choice than to give the people what they want, which is obviously a round-shaped puff covered in a deliciously mysterious cheese flavored powder.

And don't worry about Planters doing anything fancy with their signature recipe. Unlike other snack food companies, they aren't trying to bring their Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls back under the guise of being healthier by throwing words like "natural" or "simply" on the tried-and-true canisters. Nope, these are the same goodies you remember as a kid in the '90s. No funny business here. Just pure, unadulterated nostalgia (use your imagination to insert the praise hands emoji here).

"We made sure our Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls still have the same delicious taste, airy texture and fluorescent color you know and love, so our fans can enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane with every canister," said Melanie Huet, Planters Head of Brand Building, in a press release.

And that's how it's done! Now if only we could get Keebler to bring back Tato Skins, then the world would be right once again.
