Sure, Barbie has been getting a very bad wrap in the press and by even her biggest fans lately, but there’s good news for those who still believe that she is the baddest bae on the block. New reports say that everyone’s favorite blonde girlfriend is getting quite the makeover, but in the form of Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond. That’s right: Mattel has just released a brand new Barbie of our favorite kitchen hero.
Fans can now celebrate Ree and all of her fabulousness – from her BBQ comfort meatballs to her famous lasagna and even her blackberry cheesecake squares with this one-of-a-kind doll. And let’s face it, the Pioneer Woman has fans from all different demographics, from toddlers who want to get a hand on her cookies to 40-year-olds who want to whip it like she does in the kitchen.

This isn't so much a selfie as an outfit selfie, so I hope my teenagers don't look at it as a violation of the one-mom-selfie-per-month rule. And anyway, I gave them life, so they should be okay with it. I'm not trying to pose flirtatiously with my hand delicately resting in my hair. My bangs will not stay out of my face today because of a curling iron mishap, and I was just holding them out of the way. Also, my little toe is splurging out the side of my otherwise-cute shoes, which really hurts my feelings. In other news, I have been eating low carb for a couple of months, but there's still plenty of calamity and chaos going on under my blousy top, which is why I have an undying loyalty to blousy tops. And this is my favorite color of red. It's like a cherry and a watermelon had a baby. Thank you for listening.
And while Ree Drummond says that the doll doesn’t look much like her (and we are sure that Barbie’s critics will probably say the same thing), she still has her signature red hair and chic boots. Still, Ree couldn’t help but notice that the doll might be just a little too fancy looking for her taste, so to speak.
She told Delish in an interview, “I immediately said, ‘You know, I wear sneakers maybe if I work out, and who knows when that’s going to be?'”
Regardless of who she looks like, The Pioneer Woman Barbie comes with plenty of fun kitchen accessories including a stove, refrigerator, stand mixer, an Instant Pot. If that weren’t enough, she also has a cast iron skillet, and a working toaster with toast that actually pops up. No word if the butter does melt on it right away, but that’s where pretend play works it’s magic, right?
The Ree Drummond Barbie and all of her accessories retail for $44.95. Unfortunately though, the doll is already sold out at many retailers, including Walmart. That means if you see one on store shelves, you might want to act fast. It’s without a doubt that the Pioneer Woman Barbie is going to be a very hot item this holiday season. Needless to say, your imagination and appetite is sold separately, but most of us knew that anyway.
