Parents know that Baby Shark is everywhere. The incredibly catchy earworm has taken over as one of the most popular children's songs of all times, and it seems like the phenomenon that just keeps growing! Just when you thought there was nothing else that could be branded with Baby Shark, the company behind the viral sensation is branching out and will be developing a Baby Shark themed indoor playground in Singapore. SmartStudy is the company behind Pinkfong, the creators of Baby Shark, and Ryan Lee, the co-founder and CFO recently revealed their plans to expand their empire by creating a branded indoor playground for children to enjoy.

“The weather is hot and humid here, so I think there is an opportunity to do a kids’ indoor playground, one that is Pinkfong or Baby Shark-themed,” Lee told The Sunday Times. In addition to the Singapore playground, the company is also planning to open a similarly themed park in Seoul. This is really not surprising considering the immense worldwide popularity of the company and the Baby Shark brand. The Times reports that Pinkfong generated the equivalent of $46.8 million in sales last year and that it's incredibly popular YouTube channel features videos in seven languages.

The popularity of the song Baby Shark is staggering. It's currently one of the most viewed videos on YouTube, with over 3 billion views and its popularity has caused it to spawn its own industry. There are endless Baby Shark toys and Baby Shark merchandise, and there is even a new Baby Shark Live! stage tour that will be coming to North America this Fall. The earworm also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for 18 consecutive weeks!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and many have definitely released their own version of the popular children's song. We've heard it remixed with a dance floor staple at Coachella, a hardcore heavy metal version and even Celine Dion gave us her own rendition of the preschool favorite.

Although there are few details about the Baby Shark indoor playground, SmartStudy is an edutainment company that focuses on educational programs for children. Having the park be fun but also educational wouldn't be surprising. "Fun is important, but children should also learn something from Pinkfong or Baby Shark – that is what I want to deliver," Lee said.

While there are no confirmed dates, Lee says he hopes the park will be open sometime next year.
