Paw Patrol, a Nickelodeon produced show has been on the air since 2013 and has mesmerized children of all ages, with no signs of slowing down.  The colors and plot lines within the show have proven to be engaging for youngsters, and many children are PAW Patrol obsessed!

The show is action-packed, as kids follow a young boy named Ryder and his pack of rescue dogs through a multitude of adventures in an effort to protect the community they live in ; Adventure Bay.

Perhaps one of the most critical aspects of this show's success lies in the fact that the characters are so fully developed, and each pup plays an integral role in the rescue missions and troublesome situations that they find themselves in.

So who are these adorable characters that have captured the attention of your child?  Without further ado, introducing the PAW Patrol character names, and all the fun facts about each pup.

Paw Patrol Character: Ryder

It goes without saying, that we have to start the character countdown by talking about Ryder, the 10 year old little boy that acts as the group's leader. The PAW Patrol pups look to Ryder to explain their missions and he officially puts them on duty with various tasks. He's also the character that builds the equipment that they use for all their intricate rescue missions. This bright, responsible young boy is the key to managing the team and ensuring they are ready for each adventure they take on.

Paw Patrol Character: Marshall

Marshall is an adorable Dalmatian. He is a responsible character that all the other pups put their full trust in. He's as funny as he is responsible, as he pursues his role as firefighter and medic within the group.

Staying true to his Dalmatian roots, Marshall tends to be easily excitable which makes him a tad bit clumsy at times. He often bumps into his friends and in spite of being very trustworthy, he happens to also be known to be a touch frantic at times, as his excitement takes over. This silly character's signature statement  is "I'm okay", which he declares after he bumps into someone, or something!

Paw Patrol Character: Chase

Chase is definitely far less silly! He's a rather serious German Shepherd that sees his responsibilities through without hesitation or distraction. He leads the team of dogs with his athleticism, and loves to be in full control of the less experienced pups when they are out and about on their missions.

Chase drives the traffic truck and is often seen directing traffic as well. He's well put together until he is faced with is allergies. Chase is allergic to cats, and feathers, making it difficult to interact with characters that fall within that category.

Paw Patrol Character: Rubble

He may be small, but he's mighty! This English bulldog is responsible for construction and has proven himself as being a critical laborer in times of need. He's a hard worker that initially began his life as a stray dog. He was found by the PAW Patrol team and adopted into their community.

Rubble's construction truck looks more like a bulldozer, and in spite of being the youngest pup on the team, he certainly has the biggest appetite of them all. He is terrified of spiders.

Paw Patrol Character: Skye

Skye was the first female member of PAW Patrol. She's a cockapoo who contributes to rescue missions by flying the helicopter and transporting members from one place to another. She's obsessed with the color pink , and a true fear of eagles.

This spunky character is competitive but good-hearted and she adds some spice to the PAW Patrol team.

Paw Patrol Character: Everest

Everest is a reliable pup that enjoys the good life. She lives on a ski resort, and lives the best life a Siberian Husky pup could ask for. With a passionate craving for liver, this puppy is obsessed with digging holes and joining rescues, and leaps into action to support the team whenever she is called upon.

Paw Patrol Character: Zuma

This lovable chocolate Labrador puppy has a defined role in the show, as the water rescue dog. If anyone is ever in danger in the water, Zuma is the resident professional that will dive in to help. He also happens to be a fabulous surfer that can dominate any wave with fierce bravery and immense skill.

Of course, keeping in line with his passion for water, Zuma's hovercraft also converts into a submarine.

Paw Patrol Character: Tracker

Tracker lives in the jungle with a human and contributes his super hearing skills to the PAW Patrol team. Of course, since he's from the jungle, his vehicle is a Jeep, and he helps his team navigate through adventures fearlessly... as long as they don't happen the dark. This tough Chihuahua is afraid of the dark!

Paw Patrol Character: Rocky

Every good team of heroes needs an environmentally conscious member, and that's the highlighting feature that Rocky brings to the PAW Patrol gang. His eco-friendly lifestyle is demonstrated when he is able to use and repurpose a variety of items. "Why trash it, when you can stash it" is his mantra.  This mutt is afraid of the water, and is dedicated to land missions.
