Paula Abdul "straight up" tells the world what she believes. Recently, she admitted that she suffers from arthritis and keeping her body in motion is the best way for her to relieve her pain. Although many moms may not suffer from arthritis, they do suffer from bone, ligament or muscle pains from time to time. Working out is a great option to keep the body from settling in that pain.

PopSugar had a 15-minute phone interview with Paula Abdul and they said, "Abdul told me that she's a self-proclaimed fitness 'app junkie,' and has been walking, running, stretching, doing yoga and barre, and rowing to keep the fun in fitness - she's even thinking about buying a bike with an attachment for her dogs to come along for the ride."

Some moms who live in an area where they experience intense humidity may feel bone pains. Science has yet to understand why humidity and temperature play a part in this pain. But doctors know that it is real, because many of their patients experience the correlations.

Abdul noticed her joint pains were getting worse about 5 to 6 years ago, and sure enough, the doctor stated she had arthritis. For an entertainer whose life revolved around dancing, it was devastating news. Moms who are active and need to be kept busy for the sake of their sanity know exactly how Abdul must have felt.

However, Paula did not let this keep her stagnant. She puts on workout videos, stretches a lot (this is her favorite), and goes out for a walk with her dogs. She even noted that she has met neighbors she has never conversed with –thanks to the pandemic.

Abdul's doctor prescribed Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory gel, which she is now a spokesperson for the brand. Paula is pleased with the product in combination with her workouts to relieve her pain.

Abdul mentioned to PopSugar some of her favorite workout routines and videos. "I love doing barre classes - and they have Xtend Barre, which is great for anyone and everyone because it goes through the fundamentals of doing ballet barre work. It's incredible for body alignment and stretching. I have my own little barre, and the only hard thing is trying to keep my three dogs away from my feet. They like to stretch with me."

Paula's enthusiasm about staying active is a fabulous example to moms everywhere. We do so much and sometimes forget about our health. With that said, taking time to go out for a walk releases "happy" chemicals which help moms relax and be in the moment (as is now trending).
