Since COVID-19 has ruined most of 2020, we are all almost expecting it to ruin Halloween this year. This is upsetting since Halloween is a Saturday night and it lands on a full moon. It would be the picture-perfect Halloween if there was not a global pandemic going on. While there has been no official announcement about what is going to happen to Halloween, many people are starting to prepare for the worst.

While it may not be considered ideal or safe to be walking around in costumes and touching candy that has been touched by multiple hands, we still want some magic on that night, and that is why ‘Trunk or Treating’ may become the biggest trend this year.

According to Huffington Post, Trunk or Treating involves people coming together in a parking lot and letting people trick or treat out of the trunks of their cars. This idea was originally started by church groups as a safer alternative to walking down strange streets to collect candy from people you don’t even know.

These trunks are decorated to make it even more exciting, and it seems like Party City is betting that this will be the way to go this year. Party City has released a line of Trunk or Treat decorating kits for people’s cars. They make it super easy by selling everything you will need in one convenient package.

The variety they have is so diverse; there is sure to be something there for everyone. There is a Trolls World Tour set for those little fans of yours, and then there are the more generic pumpkin and ghost kits. They have an adorable Frozen kit as well as a spooky pirate-shipwreck-themed kit. These kits range in prices from $67.99 to $239.99.

While it may look different to a lot of people, trunk or treating may be a safer alternative to your more traditional Halloween. It gives children a chance to get out there in their costumes, and it gives those who love decorating a chance to go all out and plan to have the coolest decorated trunk ever. It can be done within a small community and you could even hold a contest for the best decorated trunk.
