Things have been kind of quiet in the college admissions scandal drama. It's summer, so that's not particularly surprising. But still, things must be happening behind the scenes. And there is. After breaking their social media silence, there is new news about Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli. According to sources, they've been kicked out of their sorority.

The sisters, who are still technically enrolled at the University of Southern California, are members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Or at least, they were members. As the source tells US Weekly, Olivia and Bella were both in Kappa Kappa Gamma and the sorority has since kicked them out and is trying to distance themselves from the situation as much as possible.”

But the source claims that all of this drama is bringing the sisters closer together. “This has strengthened their bond more than anything possibly could," claims the source. During everything, they are taking things “day by day."

Honestly, it's not a surprise that they've been kicked out. Given how extensive the scandal is, it as only a matter of time. While Bella keeps a relatively low profile, Olivia Jade is a popular influencer. Obviously, with the scandal breaking, she's had to step back a lot. And she's lost many of her endorsements. Reese Witherspoon's daughter Ava replaced her in a college partnership with Amazon.

Olivia’s world came crashing down quicker in terms of getting dumped and losing all of her business, but this all unfolded slower for Bella and it’s been more emotionally devastating," the source adds. Bella is the more studious of the two sisters, and genuinely wanted to be attending USC. Apparently, she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps and become an actress. Not that Lori Loughlin has much of a career left at this point.

Keeping a low profile is one way they are dealing with things. But they did break their long Instagram silences to wish their mom Lori Loughlin a happy birthday. Bella posted first, on Loughlin's actual birthday. Olivia Jade, who has reportedly distanced herself from her parents since the scandal erupted. She did comment on Bella's post, before posting her own throwback picture the next day.

With school getting ready to start, we don't know what will come next for the sisters. They are still enrolled at USC, but there may be a freeze on them being allowed to actually take classes.
