December is fast approaching. That means, we're running out of days to buy Christmas presents. But it also means that there are new movies and shows coming to Netflix. As the nights grow colder and we try to come up with ways to get out of family gatherings, this list will come in handy. Because why would you go to your great Aunt Sylvia's house and have her ask you why you're not having more kids while the ones you have slowly dismantle her house, when you can stay home and watch a movie in your sweats. It's a no brainer.

There are some seriously quality movies coming to Netflix in December to make staying in worthwhile. As always, Netflix has a bevy of holiday films that could almost put the Hallmark Channel to shame, but that's not all.

On December 7th, Dumplin' makes her grand debut. Based on the young adult novel by Julie Murphy, it stars Danielle MacDonald as Dumplin', aka Willowdean, a fat girl who shakes things up by joining the beauty pageant run by her former beauty queen mother, played by Jennifer Aniston. There are drag queens and a soundtrack by Dolly Parton, so it's a can't miss!

But wait. This year, Netflix is giving us the ultimate Christmas present. On Christmas day, December 25th, Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War debuts. It was seriously one of the best superhero movies ever, and now you can cry in the privacy of your own home.

If you've become a fan of the Netflix reboot of Sabrina and you love Christmas, you're in luck, on December 14th, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale flies into your queue. Winter Solstice has never looked so good.
