We are now knee deep in holiday season, which means one thing — if you survive, January is coming. A new year is a fresh start, and since it comes at the beginning of a week, that has to be some setup for greatness, no? For those of us parents who have kids with long holiday breaks, January 1st will signal that we've made it through the bulk of break without killing everyone. But by the 1st, all of the things the kiddos got as gifts will have become old news and we will be desperate to keep them entertained. Fear not, January is a new month, which means, new movies and shows on Netflix.

There is some seriously awesome kid related content coming to Netflix in January that will certainly keep the kids from whining about being bored, and also keep them from destroying your house. A lot of the movies are a little bit older, so bringing them to a new group of littles is awesome. But the new shows are really where it's at. There is one new addition that will exciting for parents and kids alike.

Millennial parents probably remember the show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? fondly. Carmen was a total badass trench coat wearing super criminal who would travel the world and leave clues. She made learning about geography fun, and now she'll be teaching a whole new generation of kiddos about the world. Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez will be voicing Carmen Sandiego, and she will be joined by Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard as her accomplice, Player. Carmen Sandiego sets off on January 18th.
