All The TV Shows And Movies For Kids Coming To Netflix In December

It's almost December, and that means two things. We're that much closer to Christmas, and it's time for a slew of new movies on Netflix. With the kids being home for extended periods of time, and the temperatures dropping quickly, there's a good chance they'll be spending a lot of time inside. And we all know that the dozens of new toys they get for Christmas will only be exciting for a few days. By New Year's Eve, they'll be complaining that they're "bored." That's when it's time to deploy our best friend, the television. Netflix to the rescue right?

The most anticipated film for December in the kids realm is actually more for teens. Dumplin', based on the novel by Julie Murphy, is about a fat teenager who decides to turn her life on its ear by entering her mom's beauty pageant. It struts in on December 7th, and  has a soundtrack by Dolly Parton too!

In terms of the younger crowd, kid's favorite Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is coming December 1st. That's always a fun one, especially for a family movie night with gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate.

If your little ones are fans of the Super Monsters, they're getting a holiday special, Super Monsters and the Wish Star on December 7th.

Here's what else is coming in December:

Astro Boy (December 1st)

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (December 7th)

Free Rein: The Twelve Neighs of Christmas (December 7th)

Dance & Sing with True: Songs (December 14th)

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Season 8 (December 14th)

Alexa & Katie: Season 2 (December 26th)

As we know, when new things come, things that have been around a while have to go. Honestly, Netflix could not have worse timing with the kid's movies that they're choosing to take off in December. Seriously, they cannot have worse timing. Two of the most popular kid's movies of the last two years, Moana (December 20th) and Trolls (December 7th) are both saying goodbye in December. Pick your jaw up off the floor, we're shocked too.

Here's what else is leaving in December:

Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch (December 4th)

Air Bud: Spikes Back (December 4th)

Air Bud: World Pup (December 4th)

Air Buddies (December 4th)

Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales (December 4th)

The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (December 4th)

The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue (December 4th)

Tinker Bell (December 4th)

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (December 4th)

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (December 4th)

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (December 17th)

It's like we can hear the collective screams of parents who have no idea what they'll put on to get a few minutes of silence. If you have a little one who is obsessed with one (or both), you better start preparing. Let them watch it as many times as you can stand before they're gone. And then be ready to hold them while they cry about how much they miss being able to sing "You're Welcome" at the top of their lungs over and over again...okay maybe this isn't such a bad thing?

What are you excited for? What are you sad to see go?
