Moms everywhere are opening their eyes to what is happening in the world around them. They are following #savethechildren very closely and are wary of anything that seems inappropriate. We have seen this happen with various toys, but they are also keeping an eye out for entertainment that can be deemed controversial.

Netflix is now airing the movie, Cuties, and it has previously been accused of being incredibly inappropriate since it sexualizes young children. Netflix has previously removed the original cover poster and description they had for the film, but that was not enough. The issue was the content and that it was a movie about 12-year-old girls who join a “twerking” dance group. The film was also rated for those who are over the age of 17.

According to Summit, the International Movie Data Base (IMDb) has added a parental warning on the movie. A warning that is causing concern for parents out there, a warning that may be proving that their thoughts on this movie are right. The warning says that scenes in the movie are “lawfully defined as pedophilia.”

The trigger warnings that IMDb has given for the film is further enraging moms everywhere, so much that #CancelNetflix is trending. The warnings explain the various scenes that occur in the film where young girls are sexualized.

Netflix has said that this is a movie that won awards at a France film festival, but is that enough to make it a movie worth showing? People are concerned about why this movie is being released, and even why some parents would allow their children to be in a movie like this.
