Every Kid Show Coming To Netflix August 2018

With the summer in full swing, many kids all across the country are doing just about the same thing: spending their days in the surf, sand, or swimming pool or coming home every evening to catch up on their favorite Netflix shows before bedtime. Well, luckily there are brand new shows that the popular online streaming service has just added to their heavy rotation that both kids and parents will certainly love. Here’s what’s in store for the last official month of summer before the kids head back to school.

Netflix’s August lineup with plenty of original programming choices ahead. For DC comics fans, Batman Begins. It’s the first of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and a perfect choice for family movie nights on the couch.

If you are a parent who was raised on the television and movie classics of the '90s, you won’t want to miss and even introduce your kids to Clerks. Although, you might want to note that the movie is for more mature audiences, so be prepared for a little off-color humor. Many parents will also remember the 2005 Steve Carell classic and family-friendly movie Evan Almighty. If you are looking for something a little lighter and more animated, there’s Trolls: The Beat Goes On!: Season 3, Pinky Malinky, and the pre-tween favorite The Ponysitters Club.

For sci-fi and fantasy fans (or for kids and parents who are just fans of good books in general), check out The Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring and The Golden Compass. Both begin streaming on Netflix beginning August 1. There’s also Voltron: Legendary Defender: Season 7 starting on August 10th, which is a reboot from the makers of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

If that weren’t enough, there’s also the highly anticipated but adult-oriented cartoon Disenchanted. It’s a new show created by Matt Groening, who is best known for his work on The Simpsons and Futurama. The new series is about a rowdy princess on a magical journey of self-discovery. And from the looks of it, it’s something we would definitely expect from the Simpsons mastermind.

Rounding out the list is the CW show Splash and Bubbles: Season 2, The Nut Job, and Adventures in Public School.
