While parenting may seem a little different these days because of the worldwide pandemic going on, one thing has not changed. The importance of being there for your child, moms, and dads, alike. New PSA's that were created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families (ACF), the Ad Council, and the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse are urging fathers to show their #Dadication by carving out time to be with their children, even if we are living unprecedented times, according to PR Newswire.

These PSAs are just a few in an ongoing campaign to encourage fathers to be in their children's lives. According to research from the ACF, children who have a happy and involved father in their lives greatly contribute to their child's overall health and happiness as well. Even if dad doesn't live with the child, by being involved, he is showing his children that he will be there for them.

Kenneth Braswell, Project Director for the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse and Chief Executive Officer for Fathers Incorporated says, "We celebrate 'dadication' because when dads are involved in their children's lives, it leads to positive outcomes." Not only does it benefit the children, but the entire family when a father is dedicated to spending time with his child.

The #Dadication campaign shares just how dads can be there for their kids, even amongst things like busy schedules, or even during an argument between a child and a father. The other two videos show two dads that describe what fatherhood is like for them, and what they want others to know about fatherhood, but the overall message is about just how much they love being fathers. Their interviews were paired up with very sweet family photos.

Braswell also reiterated the point that there is no one "right way" to be a father. The most important part of it all is being there for your children, and showing them unconditional love. That is what makes a dad, a dad. Happy and healthy dads that are there for their kids lead to happy and healthy children who will continue the cycle of being happy and healthy parents someday.

The campaign also encourages dads to show their '#Dadication' on social media, as well as visiting Fatherhood.gov for more resources and tips on how to spend put more quality into the time that they spend with their children.
