In an election year that has been extremely tense, two Texas moms, friends, and neighbors are showing that you can remain friends despite having different political opinions.  The 2020 Presidential election is just under a month away and Tasha Hancock and Marne Litton have been seeing a lot of destroyed campaign signs on their neighborhood social media page.

Hancock, a Democrat, and Litton, a Republican, have been neighbors for six years in Cedar Point. They decided to get together and make their own positive post to show that people with different political beliefs can actually be friends.

Litton posted pictures of herself and Hancock on Facebook hugging and having fun while holding political signs for their preferred candidate. As Litton held her Trump/Pence sign and Hancock held her Biden/Harris signs, these two women made a much-needed statement.

In a heated political time, the response these moms got was overwhelmingly positive. They've gone a bit viral have done some follow up interviews with local news explaining even more. Litton's message explained why she felt the need to do this it was all about love and showing that politics can be put aside for friendship.

According to Litton, they're great friends who have each other over for dinner, bring each others treats, and borrow things from each other all the time. Litton and Hancock smiled and posed together in political attire for their own party as people fight daily over these signs in their neighborhood.

Tensions have been high politically in the US for some time but the most recent presidential debate made a huge divide even larger. Hancock said their kids were definitely an inspiration. She said, "We're both mothers. This is to demonstrate to our kids that you can have different opinions, you can look different and still respect and love one another." Their kids must love seeing their moms remain friends with each other.

This post is also a good visual for the adults in their neighborhood who have been having confrontations. The election will end soon but Litton and Hancock will still be neighbors and will definitely remain friends. Their message is appreciated in this divided time.
