For the first time, in probably the history of the world, all moms are in the same category. We are all home with our children trying desperately to find things to entertain our children. Children who are not in school and whose routine has been completely thrown off need answers. Any mother can tell you that is enough to make them go completely out of their mind crazy. We are all trying to find new things to do with them to keep them occupied and engaged and out of our hair for a minute.
One mom has come up with a genius hack that not only entertains children but gets them to be active without having to go outside. All you need to do is bring in your child’s bike. If your child’s bike still has training wheels then this is the one for you. If you have taken them off, just pop them back on for a bit. She has created what is essentially an indoor cycling class for children.
It is also so simple, we are all wondering why we didn’t think of it in the first place. All you need to do is bring the bike inside and place each training wheel in an adult shoe. This prevents the bike from actually going anywhere when they peddle. For added benefit, you can even throw in a cycling class on YouTube and your children can bike away.
Tracy Juliano is the mom who came up with this hack from her home in New York, as reported by Cafemom. With the situation dire in her state, she had to come up with something so that her children can stay inside. Turns out, moms are loving it. One parent had this to comment on her post, “You saved our household tonight. I saw your post, ran out to the garage to get my 3-year-old’s bike, threw the training wheels into my crocs, and together we rode Cody’s 30-minute pop ride.” It is something fun that children can do to burn off that extra energy, and it is something that the whole family can do together. Another parent commented with a simple, “Love everything about this.”
