Security cameras caught a mother talking to her son about anger, and it is something that a lot of people need to hear. Children are not born knowing how to handle emotions, especially big emotions, like sadness and anger. They have to develop and learn how to handle these feelings and their best teachers are likely going to be their parents. It is a parent’s role to be the example and the sounding board on how to handle emotions. However, it is also the parent’s job to be the safe place for a child. A child should feel comfortable being angry, sad or frustrated around mom.One mom showed that she gets it and her message to her son has gone viral for all the right reasons. Destiny acknowledges how angry her son is and says that she can see and she also tells him that she wants him to feel better. She goes on to explain that sometimes we cannot get what we want that can make us feel better and that it is completely OK to be angry about it. Destiny said that she tries to practice conscious parenting, and this can mean that some people look at her and assume that she has all the patience in the world, but she wants them to know that it is not like that. She states that she still has moments where she loses it, and then she has to come back and apologize to her children and tell them that even she has bad days and gets angry when things don’t go the way she wants them to.
