Let's face it, as children get older it becomes harder and harder to show outward displays of affection. Asking for a kiss at school drop off will definitely get you ignored, and even wanting a hug before leaving them will earn you some serious side-eye. It's so amazing when children are younger how open they are to showing their love and admiration for you though displays of affection. One mom learned that just how important those hugs and kisses are not just to parents but to kids too when she forgot to give her toddler son a kiss goodbye recently.

Diana Simos recently posted a video to Facebook of her sweet son Alexander who was very unimpressed that his mom forgot to give him a kiss goodbye. She wrote, " After Alexander’s soccer practice I was in such a hurry to get back to work and my baby Alex was very upset he didn’t get the proper goodbye. He had a lot to say and my husband got it all on video lol." Diana's husband Christos captured Alex's reaction to Diana forgetting to kiss him as she left, and it is so pure!

The adorable toddler seems very upset as he explains to his father in toddler speak what exactly happened. "She didn’t give you a kiss?" Christos says to Alex. “And she just went to work?” he adds, while Alex responds incredulously saying "yeah!"

“What kind of mama does that?!” Christos responds. Poor little Alex seems distraught that not only did Diana not kiss him, but she also didn't kiss his little sister or his dad goodbye either! “You wanted to give her a kiss, and she just went to work?" Christos asks his son, who is clearly unimpressed with his mom right now. "Aww man!” Christos replies, with Alex echoing his father with his own, "Aww man!" reaction.

In the two weeks since Diana's video has been posted it's been viewed over 447 thousand times with hundreds commenting on how incredibly sweet it is. While Diana captioned the video with the hashtag #brokemyheart, she told Fox News that she definitely made up for her forgetfulness. 'Definitely learned my lesson," she said. "Won’t leave for work before giving him a million kisses."
