Celebrities on social media are pretty much always subjected to scrutiny and criticism. No matter who they are or how old they are, people regularly feel compelled to share their unsolicited opinions. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has recently faced criticism on Instagram because some of her followers believe that the actress is "too young" to be wearing makeup. They had no problem sharing their thoughts on her super glamorized look.

In the photos shared by 15-year-old Brown, she is wearing a striking eye makeup look. The metallic blue smoky eye shadow is certainly attention grabbing. Based on her look and the caption, "nobody puts baby in the corner k??" she was rocking a Dirty Dancing inspired look.

Many of the comments are positive. Actress Ashley Tisdale commented, "Beauty." Singer Meghan Trainor commented with a series of fire emojis before saying "WHAT." Lots of her fans were totally into the high fashion makeup she was wearing. But of course, there were plenty of people who weren't big fans of Brown's look, and they made sure she knew about it.

"Why are you trying so hard to be 30 lmao," one comments reads

"[sic] they grow up so fast... one day they’re 14 the next they’re 40," someone else said.

"You look like an adult in this pic."

Some of the comments seemed to focus on the idea that by wearing makeup, Brown is somehow trying to grow up fast.

"Young beauty why trying to look like a 40 year old?" one commenter asked

"Why are you hurry about beeing an adult? Be in your age," someone else warned.

"Don't grow up to fast, enjoy childhood."

It's worth noting that if you look in the background of both pictures, Brown seems to be in a warehouse. There appears to be equipment behind her that suggests she could be at a photoshoot. Unless she's doing a shoot for a kid's magazine, she's likely going to be wearing makeup. As she's gotten older, Brown has become a bit of a fashion icon. High fashion magazines and photoshoots tend to do dramatic makeup looks. She doesn't seem to be going to high school with a metallic blue smoky eye.

But even if she was, makeup is very personal choice. Lots of parents come under fire for allowing their children under 18 to experiment with their looks. Millie Bobby Brown actually address people commenting on her looks in the November issue of Harper's Baazar UK.
