It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas across the United States, and now the halls at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are decked.

First Lady Melania Trump recently showed off the decorations at the White House, including a bunch of traditional gorgeous trees and a model of the White House with mini wreaths on each window.

The decorations have a theme of "The Spirit of America" this year, and that includes some patriotic touches such as red, white and blue ornaments set on a tree next to a portrait of George Washington.

She also made sure to include ornaments themed "Be Best," which is her anti-bullying message.

Melania is a former fashion model, and a lot of people have had high expectations for her taste. But the past two years have featured some widely panned decorations. In 2017, one hallway had sparse, stark white trees, and the next year it was decorated with red cranberry trees that some thought looked creepy.

That same hallways this year is adorned in star decorations hung from the ceiling and lighted mini-trees along the wall and windows. It's definitely different, but maybe a little less out there than the last two years.

Christmas decorations are an annual tradition at the White House. While a lot of the negative comments have centered on that room, there are thousands of twinkle lights and garlands and ornaments in the set up. For the past few administrations as many as 50 trees have been set up in the president's house, according to TIME. That leaves a lot of room for criticism.

Another tree in this year's theme is dedicated to Gold Star military families. And one set of decorations includes etchings of 60 different buildings, from the Space Needle in Seattle to the Woolworth Building in New York City.

While some people might not like the flowers around the mantle or have a problem with one room, there are so many different types of decorations that surely there is something for everyone to like.

The White House will host thousands of visitors during the month of December, and they will surely be amazed at the Christmas spectacular that Melania has designed.
