On October 1st, the President and his wife, Melania, revealed they had tested positive for the "China virus," as Mr. Trump said. But one other member of the family was negative, Barron Trump.

Melania Trump, as any mother would, said that her mind went straight to her son once she found out that she and her husband had contracted COVID. She made this public on the White House website through a personal essay. The 14-year-old was tested but the test came back negative.

A few days later, Barron test again and it came back positive. Melania admitted this was something she instinctively knew and feared. The teen did not display any symptoms, whether he was negative or positive. Now, Barron has tested again and it came back negative.

CNN reported, "The President told reporters on Wednesday that his son, Barron, is doing 'fine' when asked how his son was doing in the wake of Melania Trump's essay." Melania said that Barron is a "strong teenager," and she added, "Glad the three of us went through this at the same time so we could take care of one another and spend time together," as also reported by Fox News.

Melania, in her essay, explained what she felt and went through while sick with the virus. She mentioned her symptoms were "minimal, though they hit me all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after." Unlike Mr. Trump who stayed at the hospital, Mrs. Trump stayed quarantined at home.

She and President Trump are now clear of the coronavirus. President Trump is content that he overcame COVID, and claims that he is now immune to the deadly virus. Many have criticized him for saying this, clapping back that it is foolish to think that. However, it is believed that a coronavirus vaccine will do the same, introduce the body to the virus and fight it off to gain immunity to protect the individual and, ultimately, everyone else.

With the back-and-forth of President Trump and his wife not wearing a mask during the presidential debate, we can take the time to be thankful that another person, or in this case people, who got infected, fortunately, fought the highly contagious virus. That's something to be happy about no matter if you are on the red or blue team, because we're all in this together.
