Now that Baby Sussex is finally here, everyone can’t help but wonder about the royal tot’s new life with his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Monday, May 6th. The couple are now resting at home as a family of three at their newly-renovated home at Frogmore Cottage, near Windsor Castle. Reports say that new mom Meghan Markle picked a very specific color scheme for her son’s nursery, which has left a lot of people by surprise.

Royal observer and commentator Katie Nicholl says that Baby Sussex’s royal nursery is actually a very modern one. Markle had a very specific approach in mind when she and Prince Harry decorated their baby’s room. However, there are no pinks and blues in the nursery. That’s because the royal couple opted to keep their baby’s gender a surprise and went with very neutral colors when they began planning out the nursery back in January of this year.

The Duchess of Sussex created a mood board to help her visualize what she wanted for the baby’s room. Prince Harry was looking into adding the most high-tech devices in the room while Markle focused on choosing colors from a line of eco-friendly vegan paint.

"According to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern," Nicholl told Vanity Fair in a new interview. "Don't expect to see any baby pink or baby blue. Apparently, it's going to be a monochrome palette—whites and grays, I'm told, will be the color theme for baby Sussex's nursery."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also enlisted the help of Vicky Charles, a design director of the Soho Farmhouse. Both the Duke and Duchess are said to be huge fans of Charles and her designs and wanted accents of her work in Baby Sussex’s nursery.

So far the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have revealed the name of their baby. "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child," they reveal on social media.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor

The post goes on to say, "This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion."
