Friends forever! Meghan Markle has come under fire from the press and online trolls since she first began dating Prince Harry. Since their wedding and the birth of their son Archie, it seems that the Duchess of Sussex has been on the receiving end of even more criticism and thinly veiled racist comments. The Royal mom has been attacked by members of the press, been publicly criticized for how she holds her son and is mentioned negatively in headlines almost daily. Markle's longtime friends have had enough and are speaking out publicly in her defense.

Longtime friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney, who's twin sons almost stole the show when they walked down the aisle with Markle at her wedding to Prince Harry, recently posted a message on Instagram people are stating is about Markle. While Mulroney didn't specifically call out her Royal friend by name, she captioned the post writing, "3 years of undeserved hate and abuse. It’s enough."

The post read,  "When someone faces unfair criticism, you call it out. When that person is your friend and your family, you call those critics what they truly are. Shame on you, you racist bullies."

Mulroney isn't the only friend of the Duchess who is speaking out. Outspoken actress Jameela  Jamil also took to Twitter to call out the press for what she deems is their constant attacks on Markle due to the fact that she's an African American woman.

"Ugh. Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she’s black, and him for marrying a black woman and be done with it God dammit. Your bullying is so embarrassing and obvious. You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were most recently criticized publicly after it was announced they had twice flown on private planes for two different vacations. Singer Elton John, who provided a plane for the couple "to maintain a high level of much-needed protection." He tweeted that "To support Prince Harry’s commitment to the environment, we ensured their flight was carbon neutral, by making the appropriate contribution to Carbon Footprint™."

John himself also called out those who have endlessly criticized the couple, writing "I highly respect and applaud both Harry and Meghan’s commitment to charity and I’m calling on the press to cease these relentless and untrue assassinations on their character that are spuriously crafted on an almost daily basis."

While Prince Harry or Markle has yet to comment on the constant public criticism they seem to face, the Duchess did seem to make a statement about living in the public eye during a conversation with singer Pharrell after he praised her relationship with her husband. "Thank you, they don't make it easy," she noted. Thankfully, she has great friends who will always have her back.
