The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has had a long reported rift with her father, Thomas Markle. Despite not being invited to attend his daughter's royal wedding after speaking out about his daughter to the tabloids, Thomas Markle has continued to speak out publicly about his daughter's private life. Now it seems that Meghan Markle has had enough and reportedly doesn't want anything to do with her father, including having him meet her son Archie.

Just yesterday Thomas once again spoke to the Daily Mail, claiming he is being "unfairly vilified and cut out of his grandson's life," since his daughter refuses to speak to him. A source who claims to be close to the Duchess told The Sun that she is done having any sort of relationship with her father.

“It’s a terribly sad situation but Meghan has made the very difficult decision that she doesn’t have an active relationship with her father anymore," the source stated. “This was actually a decision she made some time ago and it is something she’s now coming to terms with. It’s obviously heartbreaking for her but she has to protect herself, her husband and her son." The source also noted that "Thomas hasn’t met Harry and it’s unlikely he’ll meet Archie either.”

Thomas Markle told the Daily Mail that he feels that the Duke and Duchess's PR people are trying to "ghost him out" of their lives.

"There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently. I've stayed quiet because Meghan was pregnant with Archie but I'm speaking out now because they and their PR people are continuing to ghost me out of her life. "There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently," he stated.

"I've stayed quiet because Meghan was pregnant with Archie but I'm speaking out now because they and their PR people are continuing to ghost me out of her life. Of course, I'm disappointed not to see Archie. I had hoped becoming a mother would mellow Meghan and she would reach out."

It seems that there will be no reconciliation for the father and daughter any time soon, as Thomas insists that he will continue to speak out to "clear his name."

"I don't want anything from Meghan or Harry but I'm not going to shut up until the whole truth is out there. I will continue to contradict anything said about me that isn't true," he said. "I have to stand up for myself. I'm going to carry on speaking and I'm not going to shut up," he added.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6.
