Moms of picky eaters everywhere, it's time to listen up: McDonald's just made a huge announcement and it involves chicken nuggets. Yes....you guessed it. There is a new flavor coming to town for a limited time that just might spark the taste buds of all your picky eaters and become their newest request whenever it comes to mealtime.

According to CNN, McDonald's has a major trick up their sleeve for luring people back into their restaurants during this pandemic: by launching a brand new chicken nugget flavor. This is extra exciting because they have not launched a new flavor in 40 years.

Get ready because spicy Chicken McNuggets will hit US restaurants on September 16, for a limited time. This is huge because they have not included a new chicken McNugget flavor to their US menu since 1983.

We all know that people have gone crazy lately over everything Chick-fil-A and who could forget about the spicy chicken sandwich competition between Popeyes and Wendys, so we know that people love chicken and this will be well-received by fans everywhere.

Even though we already know that McDonald's has lots of chicken options already on their menu, the spicy Chicken McNuggets will be completely different. Their recipe highlights their breaded tempura coating of cayenne and chili peppers. They will be served with something else new: Mighty Hot Sauce. This is a blend of crushed red pepper, spicy chilies and garlic. The Mighty Hot Sauce, also available for a limited time, is the company's first new dipping sauce in three years.

So, you're going to want to jump on these new menu items ASAP.

Linda VanGosen, vice president of menu innovation, in a blog post announcing the new item, shared that "Our customers have been asking for Spicy McNuggets for some time now." And they finally decided to give the people what the people want.

Introducing limited-time items is a great way for brands to create some buzz and this is a pretty good call on McDonald's part.

So if you have a little one who loves spicy foods, it's time to plan for your next play date at your local McDonalds. However, if you're pregnant and looking for some healthier Mcdonald's options, try these.
