Well, Halloween has come and gone and while the US still has Thanksgiving to think about that doesn’t mean that people are not still ready for Christmas. Christmas is notorious for bringing people joy and happiness, and the way this year has been, we can’t blame anyone for wanting to get as much Christmas in as they can. When midnight hit on Halloween night, there were a lot of families out there who were ready for Christmas and may have even put their tree up.

According to People, this is all OK because we have all gotten the green light from the “Queen of Christmas” herself, and by that we mean Mariah Carey. The diva has been named the queen of Christmas due to her hit song "All I Want For Christmas Is You." A song that is played on every radio station and in every store, every single holiday season.

Even those who say they dislike the song can’t help but sing along when it comes out. Mariah Carey recently shared a video on her Instagram account, and it has been interpreted to mean that it is OK to start celebrating Christmas. The video is short, but it shows a Halloween, spooky monster walking through the diva’s home.

It wanders the hallways until it comes to a door that is covered in cobwebs. When it opens the door, instead of a fright, we find Mariah Carey. She is sitting in the middle of a Christmas-themed room. Mariah is sitting beside some beautiful Christmas trees and she is in her holiday pajamas. Then, she dramatically looks at her watch and says, “It’s time.” That was all we needed to know; Christmas time has come.

She did caption the end of the video with a reminder to everyone that Thanksgiving is first and that we need to get through that before the real celebration starts. However, that doesn’t mean we cannot get in the spirit now and start spreading the joy (not the virus) to all those around us. This is not new to Mariah Carey, as she released a similar video last year on November 1st, trumpeting that the season was starting. Mariah Carey had previously announced that she is going to be starring in a holiday special on the Apple streaming service called Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. The show is set to have multiple guest stars, and it is just what we need this year.
