Now that it's summer and most kiddos are out of school, we've been able to semi-retire as school lunch-packers. For a couple months, at least! During the school year, when things are the most hectic, packing a lunch or getting a nutritious meal on the table during the week can be a daunting task. It's always GO, GO, GO! We barely have enough time to spend with our kids after work and school and activities, so a lot of parents cringe at the thought of spending that small amount of time in the kitchen making dinner or prepping lunches and snacks for the next busy day. We want to give our kids healthy food, but we also want it (and need it) to be easy. So when we hear about a product that accomplishes all of those things, then we are ALL over it. The Lunchwich could be the answer to all your meal-prep woes.

In theory, the Lunchwich is about as simple as it gets - frozen sandwiches in a variety of flavors that thaw just in time to be gobbled down by hungry kids. It's not hard to make a sandwich, so why do we need ready-made sandwiches? Well, it's not about the difficulty of preparation, says creator and mom-of-two Heather Stouffer. Throwing together a sandwich for a snack or lunch or to take to the next activity isn't exactly rocket science.

But every minute of time it takes to do that is another minute you could be spending with your kids. Stouffer is the founder of Mom Made Meals, which makes easy and healthy frozen meals and snacks for kids. The Lunchwich is their newest addition to the menu, and this thing is all about saving time and sanity.

The frozen sandwich comes in four varieties: PB grape, cheddar, cheddar mozzarella, and cheddar turkey. They're individually wrapped, so all you have to do it grab one from the freezer and toss it in your kid's lunch box or baseball bag, or throw one in your purse for snack time. When your kids are ready to eat, the sandwich will be ready to eat! The crustless sandwiches are made from unbleached flour, whole wheat bread, and contain no artificial additives or colors. They also come in peanut-free versions, so there's something for everyone. Look for Lunchwiches in your grocer's freezer and online starting in August 2019!
