Madonna is arguably one of the biggest pop icons and music legends of our time. Soaring to the top of the charts for years on end and known to be the risk-taker, both professionally and personally, it seems nothing can hold her back from pursuing what she believes in. Her privileged lifestyle was very much earned through her tenacity and sustainability in the music scene, and she seems to have passed along many good traits to her children.

Lourdes Leon is Madonna's first-born child, and as the daughter of Madonna and Carlos Leon, she has been born into a life of affluence and limitless opportunity. So many celebrity children in her position have been known to party their lives away and to be frivolous with their lifestyle choices. However, it seems that Lourdes has pursued her own interests and has created a persona all of her own –rather than just being known as Madonna's daughter.

Modeling & Fashion

Lourdes is known to be very low key. She doesn't seem to desire the spotlight nor does she seem eager to partake in social media. Despite her very famous roots, she maintains a fairly private, low-key lifestyle. She keeps such a low profile that most people are unaware of her monumental role in her mother's company.

Since 2010, Lourdes has been the creative director of Madonna's junior fashion line, Material Girl. W Magazine also reports that Lourdes starred in an ad for Stella McCartney's fragrance named 'Pop.'

Arguably the most definitive aspects of Lourdes Leon's life lies in the way she has thrown herself into the world of fashion and modeling. She definitely exudes confidence, and similar to her mother, Lourdes is not afraid to bare it all and stand proud in her own skin. Hollywood Life reports that she "made her runway debut in a barely-there seashell bra at CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award show in 2018." Most people would ease their way into modeling for the first time, but not Lourdes. She made a splash for the very first time in a very risque outfit. That was her introduction to the scene, and everyone definitely noticed that she had arrived.

L'Officiel reported on her appearance at the Gypsy Sport runway, and she continued to pursue her dreams by participating in her first major fashion campaign where Lourdes posed for Miu Miu at the age of 22.

Free Spirited, Like Her Mom

Lourdes may be headed towards a very successful fashion career, and she not only has the looks to pull it off, but she also has the clout and connections too. However, she won't let society dictate her aesthetic life choices, nor will she be the one to crumble under the pressure of being in the public eye or social media scrutiny.

For one, she stays off social media and has no known social media channels. To further her estrangement from public opinion, Lourdes is known to conduct her life with the same free spirited nature which her mother possesses. Her unwavering dedication to being true to herself was under scrutiny recently when she stepped out without maintaining her body hair. Lourdes strutted her stuff on the red carpet for Gypsy Sport Spring in 2019 during New York Fashion Week, and she put her unshaven legs and armpits on full display. Unaffected by the world's perception of how she maintains her own body, fans couldn't help but draw the comparison to her mother's Instagram post from 2014. This was also highlighted by Huffington Post where she proudly displayed a large patch of her underarm hair alongside the caption "Long Hair.... Don't Care."

Incredibly Intelligent

In addition to her obvious confidence and her interest in the world of fashion, Lourdes also happens to be known for her intelligence. Hollywood Life reports that Lourdes was enrolled in a bilingual French school, full time, at the tender age of 4. Madonna insisted that she receive the best possible education and remained strict with all her children regarding their schooling. "She then earned her diploma from the LaGuardia School of Performing Arts in New York in 2014." From there, Lourdes continued her education at the University of Michigan.

Much like her mother, who coincidentally attended that same university, Lourdes put her energy into studying areas such as music, theatre, and dance. Performing arts seem to run in the family, and Madonna's daughter has even contributed musically on the MDNA album and is said to have a phenomenal voice.

It's hard to say what Lourdes will land on as far as a final career goes, but one thing's for certain; she has the tenacity, education, confidence, and skill set to do anything she puts her mind to.
