LÍLLÉbaby Recalls Baby Carriers Due To Fall Hazard

When many of us have newborns on our hands as well as toddlers or older children to chase after, turning to babywearing has pretty much been a dream situation. It allows you to keep your little babe close to you and in most cases, snoozing away, while your hands are free to take care of other kids or anything else you need to get done. Babywearing has become more and more popular in recent years because of all these wonderful benefits. If you are a babywearing mama and have a LÍLLÉbaby in your stash, you're going to want to pay close attention to their recent recall.

The babywearing company LÍLLÉbaby truly took the parenting community by storm when they first launched for so many reasons. They are comfortable and come in a wide array of colors and prints. But what set them apart from everything else was the fact that you don't need a newborn insert to be able to babywear a fresh, new baby in their carriers, like you do with many others. Yup, due to its adjustable seat width, babies as small as 7 pounds can go straight into the carrier. Pretty amazing, huh?

Earlier this month on November 15th, 6,600 LÍLLÉbaby carriers were recalled from the Active Series baby carriers because the sliding chest-clip strap can detach from the shoulder strap, posing a fall hazard to the child in the carrier. The company had received three reports of the chest straps detaching from the carrier, including one child that fell out of the carrier. However, no injuries have been reported.

This line of carriers can be worn by the parent or caregiver with the baby strapped into the front or back position. More specifically, the recall pertains to the  Active Series-Pro 6 in 1 in Space Dye Cobalt and Space Dye Grey and the Active All Seasons in Slate. Each carrier has a yellow colored tag on the front neck support, outside of the carrier and on the back, chest clip pad, both of which have “LÍLLÉ” printed in black lettering and “baby” printed in white lettering on the label.

If you're not sure, these carrier were sold at LILLEbaby.com and Amazon.com from September 2018 through October 2018 for about $160.
